Tall Ships can be visited and seen in Lisbon from today through July 22nd
Tall Ships Races- 49 tall ships from around the world are in Lisbon. Between today, July 19th and Sunday the 22nd, you can see and visit these amazing ships at the Cais de Santa Apolonia in Lisbon.
Portugal participates with 4 ships – two built in 1937, one in 1938 and one in 2000 (this one an exact replica of the old Portuguese Caravels of the 15th and 16th centuries.)
Between 10 am and 7pm you can tour these tall ships for free. There will be concerts, outdoor movies, games for children, pirates in costume, food courts and much more. Tomorrow, July 20th, there will be a crew parade in Rua Augusta. On the 22nd (Sunday) there will be the nautical parade down the Tejo.
If you are in Lisbon or in the surrounding areas, do not miss this opportunity!
